Threatening foreclosure when mortgage payments have been made

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have found Quicken loans to be deceitful, disorganized, and generally sneaky with it's addtional fee program when it comes to signing up for a loan. For example anyone who has a mortgage and a escrow usually has a deficit (insurance,,taxes etc.) to make up with the understanding that when that deficit is paid your monthly mortgage payment remains the same. Not quicken they have an add on that they never never mention until the

The first two employees were very nice but then the refinance loan was sent to Solution Consultant employees whose job it is to request financial documents, etc. They took their time, I sent the requested documents but then they would say they did not get them so it all had to be resent, this happened constantly. Then they said too much time went by so they have to restart the process !

Pros:
  • Initial contact people were pleasant
  • Easy in the beginning
Cons:
  • Solution consultants do not appear to know what they are doing

Preferred solution: I would like the company to know we owe 130,000 on a 425,000 home, have excellent credit, we are trying to refinance another 70,000 to pay off debts and put a new roof on the house, we are retired law enforcement, have not filed bankruptcy, etc.

User's recommendation: There is NO Quicken or Rocket anything with this company. We jumped through their hoops but they did not make us feel like we mattered.

I have a mortgage loan with Quicken Loans When the COVID virus started I called Quicken about obtaining a forbearance to help with paying our bills since neither my wife nor I were working. I was granted a three-month forbearance.

After one month my wife started back to work so we no longer need the forbearance. I went ahead and made my June payment. I had already skipped the May payment due to the forbearance. After I had canceled the forbearance and made my June payment, I received a notice that I had received a late penalty for the May payment.

After yelling at several people about the penalty. I finally talked to a supervisor named Sierra. She stated that she was a supervisor. After speaking with her I was told that when I canceled the forbearance my May payment immediately became due and payable.

Since I requested the forbearance online. I never spoke with anyone about it by phone. She informed me that it was in the paperwork that I agreed to. I read the entire document and there was NO MENTION of this provision anywhere in the paperwork.

After arguing with her about it for at least ten minutes, she finally asked, "What do you want Quicken to do?" At that point, I realized that she was not smart enough to deal with me. She could not figure out what I wanted even after talking with me for more than ten minutes. At that point, I started asking for her supervisor. I ended up making this request at least ten times before she finally hung up on me.

This issue has still not been rectified.

Every time I made the request, she would ignore what I said. She would ask, What can Quicken do for you?" That is when I realized that she was not listening to anything I was saying.

Beware of 500.00 good faith requirement

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was called by quicken to inquire if I would like to refinance my current mortgage. After preliminary exchange of information I decided to proceed.

I gave them use of my credit card for 500.00 good faith money to formally start process and proceed with an appraisal. I gave them all necessary requested information including w-2 statements verifying my income. Two weeks later they said they need my employers corporate tax returns to verify my income. I said a w-2 wage statement verifys my income, then they wanted my social security card of which I said my w-2 has my number on it authenticating who iam.

Tonight they said if you don’t send corporate tax returns we cannot do business. Beware of this company they will tell you up front your all set then ask for unreasonable unnecessary information. Even though iam an officer of corporation I don’t believe they have right to ask for their tax returns.

I don’t think General Motors would hand over tax returns if an employee was applying to quicken for a mortgage. Now they say sorry your out 500.00

Disceptive Loan Practices

I was applying for a Va refinance on my home through Quicken Loans. After I completed the application process I noticed that the closing costs and ten thousand other charges were considerably high.

I electronically signed my loan documents as the loan officer I was dealing with was going 100 mph trying to get everything done. After I started reading all of the massive paperwork I noticed that there was Mortgage Insurance on the loan financed into the loan. This was a no go for me I specifically told the loan officer that I did not want to pay anymore mortgage insurance! I already paid 10 years of mortgage insurance and didn't want to pay anymore.

He straight up lied to me and added the mortgage insurance into the loan. After I caught it I tried to stop the loan from going any further. However Quicken Loans continued to proceed and sent out an appraiser to my home which cost $500 plus dollars. I had already put down a good faith deposit on the loan of $500 which I paid with my credit card.

As a veteran the VA Loan was virtually impossible to obtain the appraiser put things in the appraisal that had nothing to do with my house. He put in peeling paint on my Gazebo and peeling paint on my small fence. Word of caution do not try to get a VA loan they are impossible to get. Quicken Loans finally got the message that I did not proceed with the refinance after I called the again for the 5th time.

I was still charged for the appraisal they kept my deposit of $500. They are deceitful people be careful do no sign anything until you read the fine print. They put me in a bad place I'm a veteran and was treated like a piece of trash by them.

They advertise that if the loan doesn't go through than you will get your good faith deposit returned. Deceptive Loan Practices watch out everyone!

Don't trust them!!

I have been trying to reply to your inquiry but my log in has not been accepted. So here is an update: Since I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH, these individuals at quicken have started a campaign to harass me financially by charging an unending fee($25) to report to other creditors in hopes of finding a more reputable finance company.

I even complained to Charles Schwab( the parent company) with no relief given!! Be careful of these folks at Quicken!!

Terrible communication and coordination! Their bankers will constantly take vacations ( out with girlfriends, boyfriends and whoever) and give you fifty million different points of contacts, who know nothing about your case and you have to start all the way from the scratch with each one, and as if this frustration is not enough, they will reject your application at the last moment without telling you because your spouse started working for a CBD company and not Sephora!!

Fifty different bankers will call you fifty million times all during the day, each asking the same question and then relaying it to someone else.

They will also inflate the APR as compared to average and make false claims about beating any offer and keep you hanging in there indefinitely. Do yourselves a favor and go with the builder-recommended lender and spare yourselves some major migraines, high blood pressure and frustration.

Do not use this company they lie, lie, lie

I called for a mortgage on this past Saturday. I spoke with Jay, nice guy in the beginning.

He told me yes my husband and I qualify for a mortgage. But he had to speak to his credit department in order to give us a Approval. I had to call on Monday and he then had the credit center call me. They said to pay off your Credit cards two of them and it would be fine and send the paid receipt from the credit card company to him.

Why can't I just show you the receipt from my bank that it was paid. First flag Second we wanted to put in an offer for the house we were buying. So I called Jay and asked for the Pre-Approval that he stated on Saturday we had. He gives me a story that our loan is now in underwriting and they cannot give me a Pre-Approval they want to d a hard approval.

Second Flag. I told him I wanted my preapproval I sent you all the doc you wanted in the beginning and I got nothing. Then it was my credit score had to go up 2 points. Really.

My score was a 618 and they wanted it at a 620. If you want a run around use these people.

If you want honestly go some place else.

Insurance disbursements for home repairs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Yes, I have contacted them, numerous times. My loss was over $100,000.

They would not make any kind of initial disbursement with which to begin repairs as required by Freddie Mac. They wanted canceled checks as proof of payment. So I borrowed $35,000 to begin. I was now on a collision course with interest on the loan mounting.

There is much, much more to my story. I want to pursue legal action but I cannot compete with such a large company.

If there are others with similar situations and who would like to take legal action, then we should determine taking on a class action lawsuit. If anyone wishes to discuss this further with me, please contact me via email, ahgreejr@***l ,com, or phone at 245-379-****, or letter to PO Box 270, New Market, AL 35761

Knife in the back

After A bad devorice and having a drunkin judge I a 60 year old disabled Vet paying high ALAMONE and having to buy my house back whitch was paid for at the time of that marrage couldn't hardly live. Went to my credit union and got a mortage whitch sold three times when I saw what I though was A deal ad with Quicken Loans.

I though I was getting A 2.5% rate which turned out to be a 4.75% rate. IT was better then I had so I went with it. The company I was with was being A real *** It turns out I went to it's twen brother. I still having a hard time making ends meet I got behind on my property Taxes.

The veteran services was going to help get me caught up when I got A county Tax forclouser notice. Without notice Quicken Loans went and paid them , then said they wanted more then twice my payment which their is no way I can pay. It seems to me they want to add another refinance charge on me or there first step in stealing my place for 25 cents on the doller.

I think they should be up front and change their name to Mofea mortage. I don't know why the govermnt doesn't look into what I think is stealing.

Mortgage Refinance Complaint

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I talked to these people on the phone and they wanted $8,000 to refinance our loan. I told them we would sell the house before paying that amount.

Our home is worth almost three times what is owed but we got it at a very good price at a good time. We were trying to reduce the payments but these people were of no help. They were trying to charge 4.75% and we now have 6% on our loan but in paying them $8,000 for a refinance. We will not pay anyone $8,000 for closing costs when I see them at $4,000 and less but they tried to act like they were doing us a favor when our credit rate is medium to high.

Then I said we would have to sell and they tell me that we will bee paying for the real estate fee of 3% ad etc. I was very very unhappy with them when they chose to work out nothing unless we paid them $8,000.

That is ridiculous rate for closing costs. Very unhappy with them!!!

Refinance

Called to ask quicken about a refinance on my house. Got my rates and advised I needed to discuss with my husband called the next day and they gave me different rates?

Told me the market changed I got them close to where we were the day before and asked them to send me something in writing. When the writing came over it was another new price? I told them forget it. If they can't get there numbers straight I can't trust them.

Plus the closing costs were working out to be $23,000? They were telling me they were m$10,700. They are a huge scam.

Don't trust them. Plus I called to speak to a manager to tell them about my experience no one ever called me back.

Payment/late fee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I paid over the phone to avoid late fee. I gave the numbers on the bottom of check I have used for 5 years.

They said thanks; and sent a email confirming the next day. But greasy Quicken says I gave the numbers wrong; so I stated: show the transcript of me giving the numbers wrong. They have refused to show the facts. If I gave the numbers correctly; a financial institution should be able to withdraw the payment.

Just show where I gave the wrong routing and account numbers.

And I'll pay! But till then I will complain and refuse paying until they show the transcript.
